Santa's Elf Helper - So this is how it works. Santa assigns the elf to your child/children. Your family gets to name the elf, which will arrive at your home at some point prior to Christmas ideally on the 1st December. The elf’s job is to keep a watch on whether you/children are naughty or nice and each day he/she will find a new spot to watch you/them from. Each night the elf flies back to Santa to report on everyone’s behaviour, so that Santa has an accurate record for his naughty & nice list.
One of the rules of an elf visiting your family is that the child/children are NOT allowed to touch them, if they do they lose their magic and are unable to fly back to Santa. This is because the elf is not a toy to be played with.
The elf returns in the morning and will have picked a new spot to watch from, part of the fun is watching your child/children hunt to see where the elf has hidden in your home and also to see what the elf has been up to as they can be quite mischievous.
Christmas Eve is the last night for your elf, they will expect a small hug and a kiss this is allowed as it is their last night and therefore won’t lose their magic, he/she then needs to return to Santa to start helping with the toys for next year.
